The Adventure Trust for Girls
Travelling through Asia, experiencing cultures far removed from our lives here in Exmouth! Teaching children to speak English in an African Village! Performing to thousands at the Royal Albert Hall! Living in a rainforest and learning to survive for 6 months! Conducting research in places around the world!
The annual ‘Open Evening’ held at Exmouth Community College took place in early September. It is always a wonderful evening where the girls who have received grants from the trust throughout the year can come and tell us about their adventures. The Trust welcomed their patron Lady Elizabeth Butler-Sloss who always attends to hear the girls speak and talks herself about the work of the trust and offers a wealth of her own experiences. This year was another outstanding evening, with presentations from around 15 girls. It is always so fulfilling to hear the diverse and challenging trips the girls have embarked on from Music camps, to trekking Jungles and Site Seeing in New York! We are incredibly proud of the help we are able to offer girls embarking upon these exciting and rewarding adventures and we wish the 2015/2016 beneficiaries the best of luck and look forwarding to hearing all about their adventures at next year’s open evening.
